I completely understand what you are going through. I'm refreshing xda-developers forum every few minutes to find an answer to our problem. We need a Phone binary and flash it onto the PDA.
At the moment I'm downloading this i908ZHHG9 ROM from this page: I know, it's Chinese ROM, but I wish it could be flashed onto my dear Omnia and then I can update to the English PDA ROM later on. I already tried the I908ZHHG8.exe but it only flashed the PDA ROM. When it came to the Phone ROM it failed.

Unfortunately, it cant communicate with phone due to GrandPrix use the specific device driver to link with a phone's part to write to this Rom, but the phone's part is not exist anymore, therefore it has the error: 'Port Create Failed' With the official update from Samsung DXHG4, it use the ActiveSync, to my knowledge, when the device is already connected, it will continue to flash the entire rom.

Last night, I put the Chaimd's G4 Rom and a Part 1 (which I extracted from my G4 rom before) and rename it to be binary, the process continue to flash the PDA part smoothly, but when it comes to Phone part, it has the same error (Port Create Failed). For this solution, if we can get away the 'verify device' of Samsung official update DXHG4, then I believe it will be done, because now, Binh & me has the same problem is the phone is ' Incorrect software version' For your info, KC.
Hello I recently purchased a Samsung Omnia i900 which is running Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional. I have been told that by updating the Firmware I would see significant benefits in day to day use of the phone. Current details as follows:- PDA:I900XXHHD/ACHH3 PHONE:I900BUHH2 I have tried to do this by using the official Samsung link which has installed Windows Mobile Device Centre on my computer but when I select the link for the firmware download I get redirected to a Samsung page in Spanish and no further? So firstly Vodafone phones have to have software that is Vodafone approved, so the latest version on the Samsung website and the latest version for your Vodafone Omnia may not necessarily be the same.
To check you have the latest software you will need the Windows Mobile Device Center, this can be downloaded using the link you have in your post. Then you need to enter your device version, based on what you said originally this is ACHH3. After this is inputted it will search for the latest firmware. Can you confirm this is exactly how you have tried to update the software?
Thanks Holly eForum Team. Hi Holly, Many Thanks for your help! Yes I have Windows Mobile Device Centre installed and the phone seems to connect to this with no problems. I'm happy this is the latest version as I only downloaded it a few days ago.

Purchased from a friend who got it from Vodafone on contract but couldn't get on with it so no real backup for me as far as retailer goes. I have the same problem with an OMNIA I bought from Vodafone directly two years and never bothered to upgrade. The fact is: - if we have to use the Vodafone website to get a software update - why does the Vodafone website links to a Samsung website then? And it links up to a Mexican Samsung website which link to the download is broken. if we are to update our Vodafone version of the Samsung Omnia software, then Vodafone should make this one available on their website. I posted about this problem as an additional reply of an existing topic and have not had an answer from Vodafone. Their telephone technician was not able to help after more than an hour spent on the phone.
Would be nice to hear from someone at Vodafone!! I did not know that having Vodafone branded phones would become such a problem. I like my Omnia and currently there is not another phone I would like to upgrade to. Hi Guys Sorry to see that the link on Samsung's website is redirecting to Mexico, I have to admit that isn't very helpful. As we can't control the links on Samsung's website, the only way that I can now recommend to get the latest firmware is to send the phone away for repair. Whenever a phone is sent into the repair centre, they will always flash the phone to the latest verison available.
